To the D'bag Who Lost Me My Camera

.: I'm sad... one week into a two week trip to Wisc.. Some d'bag came up behind me, scared the crap out of me, causing me to drop my camera, which caused its death... And he didn't even buy me a drink.. well.. I'll just hope that Casio will fix it.. I know it wont be for free.. but as long as itz under the amount I spent on it originally.. I'll be happy...

Bump Bump Bump

Another one bits the dust..

.: So Ann Walker is getting married.. Interesting times.. She's the second of my ex's to get married.. weird that I mention it in my blog.. but I thought it was worth noting..

ORD for the Suck

.: Ok... haha.. jokes on me.. I thought when I signed up for a flight at a certain time, I might actually get there at that time... Well not if you're flying in or around Chicago's wonderful Orchard Field aka O'Hare International aka The Pit of Death... In the past 5 or 6 times I've flown out of that airport.. the AVERAGE delay (and for their sake, I am removing the full night I had to crash cuz I missed my connection due to Air Traffic) the Average delay was 3 hours... 3 Hours... are you kidding me? The worst part isn't that I was delayed that much time.. no no no.. itz that they change it every 10 frickin minutes... so I call my ride, and tell them I'll be 30 minutes late.. then 20 minutes later I call them and say I'll be an hour late... It sucks for cuz I'm sitting in the terminal (or runway if I'm that unlucky, and I have been) but itz horrible for the person who was nice enough to pick me up from the airport.. They are giving up part of their day to help me out and United or American or whoever it is that I'm flying that time has to kill it... I've heard some horrible stories in my time and I feel bad for everyone involved.. but seriously.. there has to be a way to fix O'Hare.. No where else have I run into this issue as badly.. sure I've been delayed in Minneapolis.. but thatz cuz there was a blizzard... not cuz there was a bit to much wind, or the colour of the sky wasn't the right shade of blue... no... a massive "I'm not even walking outside" blizzard... Vegas wouldn't be caught dead running late.. unless of course the plane was inbound from ORD!!! grrr... some times...

PDX For The Win

.: I'm flying back to Wisconsin today.. To finish up a project for WOCCU.. As I'm waiting for my flight in PDX (Portland International Airport).. I grabbed a seat at a Pub here.. ordered some food and a beer and was reminded of a song by the great Johnny Cash... "Sunday Morning Coming Down".... One of the best lyrics ever... "The beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, so I had one more for dessert".... hahaha... But two thumbs up for PDX having free wifi all over their airport...

The Great Move 2a

.: From Neshkoro to Oshkosh to Santa Cruz to Tillamook....... Soon to Seattle.... Moving is always interesting times.. That's for sure... Stressful... But exciting... I find myself writing this post from my new temporary house in Tillamook Or.. A town of some 8 coffee "shops" only 3 of them worth their weight in beans... A city that has rained every day.. A city where the people are nice and the cows are abundant... This town is the most "Midwestern" I could be without moving to the Midwest...

.: I am very excited to continue my journey to Seattle.. At the same time I'm happy hang out with my parents as I know relatively little about their current lives... In the few months I'll be here, I also have a bunch of trips planned back to Wisc.. I also want to get some other venues ins...

Hurray Tillamook coastline...
