"Cold Weather" in Santa Cruz

.: I was chilin out at my favorite Cafe today, Cafe Pergolesi, and in sitting in a different spot then normal I got an interesting view of the people coming in... To give you a base line, today in Santa Cruz it was 65ish (68 at the time of writing) and it had just rain today and yesterday, first time since April/March... The random assortment of what people were wearing was amazing.. Everything from shorts and t's to jeans and "winter jackets".. (I have to put it in quotes cuz they really aren't true winter jackets.. but they would work in a pinch I guess)... Most people are wearing jeans and sweatshirts... Granted I'm wearing a hoodie and shorts right now.. but I wear jackets when itz 80... Everyone is acting like itz the middle of November at the end of September.. itz so funny to watch... Whatever works for them though...

Speedy Beck

.: Ok.. quick update on this one.. I went for a bike ride tonight.. My normal 20 some odd mile course that takes me behind Dave and Judy's house... Only backwards.. The same route I had planned to take before my like accidents... I wanted to complete it... Well.. Going up the hill, hard... Didn't know where my safe spots where... but when I crested it I was flying.. sad part is.. there is a stop sign in the way at the bottom.. and some hard turns too... I clocked in my fastest speed on a bike 35.9 miles per hour... thatz killer... I locked up my breaks trying to slow down (thatz just me not knowing how to handle that type of speed I think)... Crazy I tell ya.. crazy...

Seattle For The Weekend (and the win)

.: After much debate over where I'm going to live in the coming year, I had narrowed it down to 3 places: Santa Cruz, San Francisco, and Seattle. I did this for many reasons. First and foremost was friends. I want to live by some of my friends again.. Second, I'm not moving away from the coast.. Screw inland places... Granted if there was a large body of water, I might be moved.. Third, mountains within driving distance.. And finally cost of living per standard of living index (the rest of the criteria don't play roles anymore since these 4 are pretty much what gives me the 3 cities.. any more and I wouldn't have anything to choose from)

.: So I went up to San Fran two weekends ago.. Hung out with Nico and Gabi... Great guys.. I heart my family.. It rocks.. We went out to get some food and beverages.. Then hung out at some spiffy night clubish bar.. then Nico went with his buddies and I went with Gabi to the beach at o'dark thirty.. Good times.. I had a blast in the city.. Click here to see the pictures..

.: This past weekend, I flew up to Seattle to check that city out.. Hang out with Ethan.. See how the north west rocks it.. (Quick aside.. for those of you not in the know, Ethan and I were buddies since 1st and 2nd grade repectivly.. we've hiked and canoed in many of the places in this world were I was the happiest I've ever been.. His father and mine go back to college days.. story goes on).. Ethan and I rocked the city.. Something crazy like... Even though he had to work most of the time I was up.. His friends hung with me.. I sign of good people... I caught up with one of my other old buddies who lives in the city Craig who is a bike messenger (way cool)... and I met a college friend of my aunt and uncle's HR.. who works for amazon (also really cool)... Here are the pictures from that tour...

.: I wondered the city from north to south from west to... well everyone told me not to go east... so I central.. lol I saw the sights and given my living criteria.. Seattle is totally the place for me... Now all the remains is finding an apartment.. and actually moving.. hot stuff... I hate moving...

(This entry is completely messed up.. but I hope everyone could follow it.. itz been a long day)
